• 1:1　The word of Jehovah which came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
  • 耶和华的话临到毗土珥的儿子约珥。
  • 1:2　Hear this, you elders, And give heed, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this ever happened in your days, Or even in the days of your fathers?
  • 老年人哪，当听这话；这地的一切居民哪，都要侧耳听。在你们的日子，或你们列祖的日子，曾发生这样的事吗？
  • 1:3　Tell your children about it, And let your children tell their children, And let their children tell the next generation.
  • 你们要将这事传与子，子传与孙，孙传与后代。
  • 1:4　What the cutting locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; And what the swarming locust has left, the licking locust has eaten; And what the licking locust has left, the consuming locust has eaten.
  • 剪蝗剩下的，群蝗来吃；群蝗剩下的，舔蝗来吃；舔蝗剩下的，毁蝗来吃。
  • 1:5　Awake, drunkards, and weep; Howl, all you who drink wine, Because of the fresh wine; For it has been cut off from your mouth.
  • 酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣；一切好酒的人哪，都要为新酒哀号；因为新酒从你们的口中断绝了。
  • 1:6　For a nation has come up against My land, Mighty and without number; Its teeth are the teeth of a lion, And it has the cutting teeth of a lioness.
  • 有一国民又强盛，又无数，上来侵犯我的地；其牙齿如狮子的牙齿，大牙如母狮的大牙。
  • 1:7　It has made My vine a desolation, And My fig tree a heap of splinters. It has stripped it bare and cast it away; Its branches are white.
  • 这民使我的葡萄树荒废，使我的无花果树成为碎堆，剥尽树皮而丢弃，使枝条露白。
  • 1:8　Wail like a virgin girded with sackcloth Over the husband of her youth.
  • 我的民哪，你当哀号，像处女腰束麻布，为幼年的丈夫哀号。
  • 1:9　The meal offering and the drink offering are cut off From the house of Jehovah; The priests, the ministers of Jehovah, mourn.
  • 素祭和奠祭从耶和华的殿中断绝；事奉耶和华的祭司都悲哀。
  • 1:10　The field is a waste; The land mourns, For the grain is a waste; The new wine is dried up; The fresh oil languishes.
  • 田荒废，地悲哀；因为五谷毁坏，新酒干竭，新油也缺乏。
  • 1:11　Be ashamed, O farmers; Howl, O vinedressers, For the wheat and for the barley, Because the harvest of the field has perished.
  • 农夫阿，你们要惭愧；修理葡萄园的阿，你们要为大麦小麦哀号，因为田间的庄稼都灭绝了。
  • 1:12　The vine is dried up, And the fig tree languishes, The pomegranate and the palm and the apple tree-All the trees of the field are dried up; Indeed gladness has withered away From the children of men.
  • 葡萄树枯干，无花果树衰残，石榴树、棕树、苹果树，连田野一切的树木也都枯干；众人的喜乐尽都枯竭。
  • 1:13　Gird yourselves and lament, O priests; Howl, O ministers of the altar. Come, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God. For the meal offering and the drink offering Are held back from the house of your God.
  • 祭司阿，你们当腰束麻布痛哭；伺候祭坛的阿，你们要哀号。事奉我神的阿，你们要来披上麻布过夜；因为素祭和奠祭，从你们神的殿中停止了。
  • 1:14　Sanctify a fast; Call a solemn assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land To the house of Jehovah your God; And cry unto Jehovah.
  • 你们要将禁食的日子分别为圣，宣告严肃会，招聚长老和这地的一切居民，到耶和华你们神的殿，向耶和华哀求。
  • 1:15　Alas for the day! For the day of Jehovah has drawn near, And as the destruction from the Almighty it will come.
  • 哀哉那日子！因为耶和华的日子临近了；这日子要来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。
  • 1:16　Is not our food Cut off before our eyes, Joy and exultation From the house of our God?
  • 粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？喜乐欢腾不是从我们神的殿中止息了吗？
  • 1:17　The seeds have shriveled Under their clods; The storehouses have been desolated; The barns have been torn down; For the grain is dried up.
  • 谷种在土块下朽烂；仓房荒凉，廪库拆毁；因为五谷枯干了。
  • 1:18　How the beasts groan! The herds of cattle are confused, For they have no pasture; The flocks of sheep also suffer punishment.
  • 牲畜哀鸣，牛群混乱，因为没有草场；羊群也受了灾罚。
  • 1:19　To You, O Jehovah, I cry out; For fire has devoured The pastures of the wilderness, And the flame has set ablaze All the trees of the field.
  • 耶和华阿，我向你呼求；因为火烧灭了旷野的草场，火焰烧尽田野的树木；
  • 1:20　The beasts of the field also Cry to You, For the waterways Are dried up, And fire has devoured The pastures of the wilderness.
  • 田野的走兽也向你哀鸣；因为溪水干涸，火也烧灭旷野的草场。
